The Best Cafes In The Adelaide Hills

When it comes to finding a great cup of coffee, trust us when we tell you that there is no shortage of cafes in Adelaide Hills. However, what separates the great from the best places to grab a cup of coffee is what they have in addition to it.

After years of trying out just about every café in Adelaide Hills, we’ve come the conclusion that there is a handful of cafes that are better than the rest. Some of these are our favorites, others we like because they offer variety.

Caffiend Coffee Company

Now if you want to enjoy the best coffee, hands down, without any argument, then Caffiend is the place to be. Not only do they offer great tasting coffee, but it can be paired with something sensational from their lunch or breakfast menu. Personally, we’d have the mac and cheese toastie, but it is probably not the best choice for patrons watching their calories.

The Organic Market and Café

Recipient of the ‘Green Table Award’ for its effort to reduce the café’s environmental impact, the café features a pretty sizable in-house market. The market features a health selection of locally sourced fresh vegetables and fruit. So, whether it is a hot cup of java or an organic beer, each one can be paired with one of their home-style meals. Patrons can also choose from vegetarian and vegan options.

Red Cacao Chocolatier

Tucked away a few meters off the main street in Stirling, Red Cacao Chocolatier offers a quaint almost personalized experience. It is one of the best places for people craving chocolate, coupled with your very own waiter who will offer recommendations based on your choice.

b3 Coffee

b3 Coffee is one of the best cafes in Adelaide Hills for one reason, their coffee is amongst the best, but they also have what it takes to satisfy patrons with higher expectations. As a small-batch roaster, they are spoiling Adelaide hills with their specialty, high-quality blends, that’s based on their years of experience in the coffee industry. The result is every batch of coffee tastes unique and almost addictive.

Lobethal Bierhaus

Located on the Lobethal high street, what makes Bierhaus different from all the others is that it doubles as a microbrewery. The café is known for a couple of award-winning beers, and excellent food to go along with it. Though if beer isn’t your drink of choice, they also have local Adelaide Hills cider and wine.

Patch Kitchen and Garden

Out on Stirling’s main street is Patch Kitchen and Garden which offers a super quiet place to sit, along with some child-friendly spaces. The café is open for lunch, breakfast and dinner. Patrons can choose from handmade lamington donuts filled with chia jam. Their menu continues to change, but each change brings quality and delicious food. The bonus here is the view of their free-range chickens.

Finding the best cafes in Adelaide Hills is easier said than done. However, if you happen to be driving through any one of the winding roads in the city, be sure to check out the cafes above.
